Another enjoyable read from Philip K. Dick. I suppose because of its short stretch the predictability of the ending was inevitable, but it still left a somewhat sour sip for me.

I put off book-learning this book because I read an story either by or about the author some time ago and I thought he seemed like a cocky jerk. Also, I've read and go over Born to Race and they don't speak too favorably of him in there either. That conscious thing said, I really enjoyed this book. It had good abound and was really engaging. There are some wherevers where his grit comes through, but then again he's performed accomplishments of endurance running that not many others have even attempted. There are a few "because I can" notes and some inspirational family notes that really give this book root.

great read but after all the controversy, not sure how I feel about it...

The Lady Gwynne who comes to wed Regis Aurum is an imposter and the real lady is trapped in a obelisk with a mirror as her only originator of announcement of the outside pursuits. As usual, this is only specific thread of a rich hanging of story, but it is the main specific.
