Wonderful and magical alternate-history-ish fantasy offbeat. I only wish the different characters had different declares to distinguish them from one another; perhaps Valente's greatest vigor is her authorial voice, but here she would have done well to vary it a bit. Do you like gorgeous article and fantastic settings and creatures? Then you'll love this book.
Well, after my stares at stopped bleeding from review that fucking Decline course, I decided to give this precise a pass. I enjoyed it more than my last go over. My biggest static is that she tends to be a portion bombastic. I don't know if that is a sidebar of being translated from German or not. The characters were well developed and the plot position was interesting. It just got a portion tedious. The first few chapters and the last few chapters were the most interesting. But there's about 400 beeps in the middle that ought a kick. I may get around to review the next precise. As soon as I catch up on some other books I haven't yet go over.
Significantly better than I expected. Not at all predictable.
